THE ART OF SOUP-MAKING
SOUP is delicious, healing, nourishing, nurturing, sustaining, old as humanity, traditional, cross-cultural, economical and community building.
I make soup regularly, from whatever is around.
It is easy and simple to make, can easily feed many hungry folks, keeps well for several days (even improving over time!), can be enjoyed at every meal, a food for all seasons, palates and ages.
When soup is being made, the house is elevated to a Home: the aromas invite everyone to gather and share sustenance, we feed friends and family without having to labor at preparing a meal. If anyone is not well, on any level, we have something to give: warming soup for body and soul.
After years of practice, of trial and error, of learning and developing the Art of Passion Soup Making, I am now excited to share my “secrets”, so that anyone can enjoy the gifts of making, eating and sharing soup!
Far from a chore, it can be both an alchemical process and a heart-nurturing experience for ourselves: together we’ll transform fire, water, seasonal vegetables and tasty whole grains like Peruvian quinoa or rice, a range of proteins, heart-healthy fats and seasonings into gourmet soups. You will gain the experience and confidence to feed your loved ones and yourself with style, ease and joy.
Even if you feel awkward or hesitant in the kitchen, you will become a Passion Soup Creator, with endless possibilities of feeding yourself and others.
I teach a CONCEPT, more than recipes.
You will learn about pots, knives, shopping for produce, seasoning, making bone and vegetable broths, boiling and simmering, soaking grains and legumes, and how to celebrate abundance while being frugal.
